Privacy Policy
How FinBizNet collects, uses and protects your data — the privacy commitments for users of the Indian stock research platform.
Last updated: 16 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how FinBizNet AI Technologies Private Limited, registered office at Enkay Tower, Plot No. B & B1, Vaniya Nikunj, Udyog Vihar, Gurgaon – 122016, Haryana, India ("FinBizNet", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information when you access or use the FinBizNet website, mobile experience, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") and other applicable laws.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly and information generated through your use of the Services:
- Account information — name, email address, mobile number, profile picture (when you sign in via Google or Facebook).
- Authentication metadata — Google / Facebook OAuth identifiers, your active-session identifiers (capped at two devices per account), and IP / user-agent recorded on each login for fraud prevention.
- Subscription & billing information — plan chosen, billing date, GST invoice details, and payment status. Card / UPI / netbanking details are entered directly into Razorpay's secure interface; FinBizNet never sees or stores them.
- Usage information — pages visited, stocks searched, AI questions asked, screen filters used, alerts configured, notes added.
- Device & technical data — browser type, operating system, time-zone, approximate location inferred from IP, referrer URL, cookies and similar identifiers.
- Communications — emails, support tickets, feedback you submit through info@finbiznet.com or in-app forms.
2. How we use your information
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Services and your account.
- Authenticate you, prevent unauthorised access, and enforce the two-device limit.
- Process subscription payments through Razorpay and issue GST invoices against FinBizNet GSTIN 06AOAPJ8038H1Z1.
- Generate the AI Verdict, Daily Brief, Market Synthesis, and FinBiz AI features by sending your question (and a non-personally-identifying context block) to Google's Gemini API.
- Send transactional communications (subscription receipts, renewal reminders, policy updates) and, only with your explicit opt-in, marketing communications you can unsubscribe from at any time.
- Comply with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations.
3. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the following categories of recipients, and only to the extent necessary:
- Payment processor — Razorpay Software Private Limited (PCI DSS Level 1 certified) for processing subscription payments and generating GST-compliant invoices.
- Authentication providers — Google LLC and Meta Platforms, Inc. for OAuth sign-in. Only the OAuth identity (name, email, picture) is shared back to FinBizNet.
- Cloud infrastructure — MongoDB Atlas (database) and Render Services Inc. (application hosting). Both are SOC 2 / ISO 27001 certified and store data encrypted at rest and in transit.
- AI service provider — Google Gemini API for natural-language responses. Per Google's API terms, prompts submitted via API are not used to train Gemini's models.
- Market-data providers — Yahoo Finance, BSE Corporate Filings, and similar public data sources (we send only the stock identifier, never your personal information).
- Professional advisors — auditors, lawyers, and accountants under confidentiality obligations.
- Authorities — when required by Indian law, court order, or regulatory direction.
4. International data transfers
Your data is primarily stored in MongoDB Atlas regions in Asia (Mumbai). Some service providers (Razorpay, Google, Meta, Render) process data outside India under contractual safeguards equivalent to what the DPDP Act requires.
5. Data retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to provide the Services and meet legal, tax, and audit requirements:
- Account data — until you delete your account.
- Billing records & GST invoices — for 8 years from the end of the financial year, as required under Indian tax law.
- Login activity logs — for 12 months for security and fraud prevention.
- AI question history — until you delete it from the in-app history page.
6. Your rights under the DPDP Act
You have the right to:
- Access and obtain a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
- Request deletion of your personal data, subject to retention requirements above.
- Withdraw consent for processing (note: this may end your access to the Services).
- Nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf in case of incapacity or death.
- Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@finbiznet.com from your registered email. We will respond within 30 days.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
We use first-party cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in (JWT session token), remember your plan selection during checkout, and measure feature usage. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but the Services may not function properly without them.
8. Security
We protect your data using industry-standard measures: TLS encryption for data in transit, encryption at rest in MongoDB Atlas, server-side password hashing, signed JWTs for session validation, HMAC-verified webhooks for billing, and per-user query quotas to prevent automated abuse. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; please use a strong unique password and notify us immediately at info@finbiznet.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
9. Children's privacy
FinBizNet is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or an in-app banner at least 7 days before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
